CLIENTS’ CHARTER
MINISTRY OF PLANTATION INDUSTRIES AND COMMODITIES
We promise to provide quality services as follows:
1. Policy Formulation To formulate policies, legislation, regulations and clear strategy of industrial commodities based on the development and current needs in the period as follows:
- 18 months for drafting and legislative amendments;
- Six (6) months for new policies, rules and strategies, and
- Three (3) to six (6) months to amend the existing policies, rules and strategies
2. Implementation of Development Projects To ensure the development programmes for plantations and commodity sectors are planned, implemented and monitored accordingly, including:
- Development Impact Report to be prepared within six (6) months from the date of completion;
- Ministry’s Development Action Committee Meeting to be held 12 times a year.
3. Consultation Session To conduct consultation sessions with state governments, industries and non - governmental organisations (NGO):
- One (1) meeting a year between the Minister and the state agriculture council;
- One (1) dialogue a year with the industries for each commodity;
- Three (3) dialogues a year with NGOs; and
- Six (6) consultation sessions with industries.
4. Trade Mission To organise at least five (5) trade missions and market promotions/visits a year as well as to take the necessary follow-up actions in order to strengthen existing markets and explore new markets.
5. Publication of Statistics On Commodities Book To publish a book on the annual Statistics On Commodities and to distribute it in April of the following year.
6. Organising MICCOS To organise the Malaysia International Commodity Conference and Showcase (MICCOS) in every two (2) years.
7. Public’s Complaint To ensure all complaints to be given:
- Acknowlegement of receipt within one (1) day;
- Initial feedback within five (5) days, and
- Completed within 15 days.
8. Session with Clients To hold at least four (4) sessions with client annually through field-visit programme such as the Hello Commodities:
9. Bill Payment
- To ensure full payment of bills settled within 14 working days, and
- If there is complaint from any party who did not receive payment within 14 working days, the complaint will be resolved within 72 hours.
10. Website To upload the latest information on MPIC website within 24 hours.
11. Biofuel License
- To issue Acceptance of Application within one (1) day;
- To issue license within three (3) days after decision has been made by the Licensing Committee; and
- To inform the unsuccessful aplicants within three (3) days after decision has been made by the Licensing Committee.
